ABOUT ME
hola, i am karen.
I am a single, fifty-year-old Latin American female traveling this beautiful world solo! Well, not entirely on my own; God is with me! As King David assures us in Psalm 56:9, God promises to be with all His children. I am a witness that God never leaves our side. He has shown me His immense love and continues to do so every single day.
I’ve faced many trials in my life and on July 1, 2021, I experienced the most painful one: I lost my furry baby Coco. He was my only furry son, and his loss shattered my world and heart. I went into a deep two-year depression. During these dark times, my beautiful, loving and powerful Holy Father was molding me for this next phase of my life. He taught me what to hold on to and what to let go of. I learned many lessons, which I hope to share with you through my writings.
God’s grace carried me through, I am now at the other end of that dark tunnel. He has given me a second opportunity at real happiness. Each day I wake up is dedicated to Him. Through my travels, I hope to show all my readers the beauty of God’s creation and His love for all of humanity.
Psalm 56:9
“Elohim Li, For God is for me”
I absolutely adore my family and the loss of my furry baby brought me even closer to them. Together, they are wild and crazy, and we all love fiercely. My mom is the boss lady of us all! I tend to be on the background laughing at all of them. I have two furry nephews, Max and Maui. Max is the older and wiser one and Maui is still a puppy and very much a menace, always making us laugh with all his antics. I have a very tight, small group of friends I can count on one hand, a small group but a huge support system for me. I am single, waiting on God to bring that special person into my life and heart.
Embrace Simplicity
Savor the Present Moment
Find Inner Peace
My obsessions are mountains, oceans, lakes, rivers and SNOW! So get ready to be in awe of God’s beautiful creation. I hope to give all my readers as much information as I can, so you too can visit all these beautiful spots without wondering where to stay, where to eat, what activities to do, or how much the cost will be.
All my travels are about embracing and focusing on the meaning of Slow Living.
“Embracing simplicity, savoring the present moment, and finding inner peace amidst the chaos. It’s a conscious journey of soulful connection, gratitude, and harmony with nature’s rhythms, leading to a more meaningful and authentic existence.” If this resonates with you, you are in the right place. Let us focus on God’s wishes for us: simplicity, peace, gratitude and harmony.
